What kind of geology is this?[]
Is this wiki just dedicated to geology here on Earth? Or does it include geology of other planets such as Mars. --Whiplash 13:39, 20 November 2007 (UTC)

Obsidian[]
Obsidian is not just any lava rapidly cooled. It's basically glass, so the lava must be rich in silica.
New featured article[]
I think the Asbestos page has grown much since its creation, and it should meet all the requirements for being a featured atricle. I am not exactly sure what that is, but my idea of featured-article material is:
- It has a picture
- It has sufficient Information
- It is has no redlinks
- It is categorized
- It is of moderate size
- The infobox is as complete as it can get with our infobox templates
- It has references
- And it has been edited by more than one user
I believe it should be the next featured article, as soon as Corundum finishes its term for featured article, but not to the point that it ends up like obsidian, our featured article for a year or so. --Armyleader36Mailbox 15:08, 27 March 2009 (UTC)
