Talc is a metamorphic mineral that is composed of of hydrated magnesium silicate. It's chemical composition is Mg3Si4O10(OH)2. Talc can be found in colors such as green, white, gray, brown, or colorless. Known as a soft mineral as it is only rated 1 on the mohs scale. The cleavage of Talc is rated as perfected. And the gravity on Talc is 2.7 or 2.8. China is currently holding the number one position for producing the most Talc annually producing about 2,000 metric tons. The location of finding any Talc is in metamorphic rocks of convergent plate boundaries.
